Kakatiyas of Warangal - gold punch-marked heavy gadyana, repousse fabric, tentatively attributed to period of Gunda IV (955-995AD), 5.64g, Height: 48.26mm, Width: 48.65mm. Obv: In centre, mythical bird Hamsa with floral ornamentation around, struck from a single die. Eight punches around - 4x stylized lion facing right, alternating with 4x boar facing right with sun and moon above; along the border, eight punches - 4x stylized lotus, 2x Kannada letter 'Shri' juxtaposed and combined, 1x Kannada legend Manda, 1x Kannada legend lika.
