Early Medieval North Karantaka, Gold die-struck/punch-marked Gadyana attributed tentatively to the early Kadambas of Hangal (800-900 AD), attempted with piercing for jewellery (thus two prominent indentations), MCSI-I no. 234, 3.71g. Obv: A temple with uncertain figurines under its roof within a dotted border; four stylized lion punches struck on it. Rev: Floral scroll within a dotted border, partly obliterated under the obverse punches. Estimate
