(A) Early uninscribed cast copper coin or EUCCC (200-150 BC), from a series concentrated in Northern Maharashtra / lower Tapi Valley, 2.48g. Obv: A tree-in-railing and a three-arched hill surmounted by a crescent, aligned 'head to toe' with respect to each other. Rev: Blank. (B) Mathura, die-struck coin of a Datta ruler (Purushadatta?), (150-100 BC), 4.38g. Obv: Goddess standing in the centre, a tree-in-railing to her right; Brahmi legend …shadatasa? above. Rev: Traces of the typical Mathura 'three elephants' symbol within a dotted border, partly obliterated. The coin is apparently counterstruck over an earlier issue. (2 Coins) Estimate
