Copper
A group of 6 copper coins of Ranas of Chitor, imitating the coins of Sultans of Malwa and possibly struck at Chanderi. They include Rana Sangrama Simha (Rana Sanga, 1509-1527AD), Rana Vikramaditya Simha (1531-1537) and Rana Banbir or Vanavira Simha (1537-1540). All bear Al-sultan bin al-Sultan in Arabic on
obverse and Devanagari legends Sri Rana Sangrama Sahi, Sri Rana Veekramadit and Sri Rana Vanaveer (respectively) on reverse. Some bear legible dates in VS after the Devanagari inscriptions. Similar coins have been listed by Goron & Goenka M 264, 267, 272 and 273. (6 Coins)
