Bombay Presidency, Mumbai mint, silver rupee, for use on the Malabar coast (1810-1813 AD), in the name of Alamgir II, inverted crescent symbol on obverse, Stevens EIC 7.18; PR 294, 11.55g.
Extremely fine, Rare.
These are derived from the earlier crescent marked rupees struck at Bombay or Tellicherry. Distinguishing features are the upside-down crescent, the simplified legend and the neat appearance of the coin.
