Bundi, Raghubir Singh (1889-1927 AD), silver square ‘Nazarana’ rupee, with the name of George V, AD 1925/VS 1915 (sic.), KM Y20a, 10.31g. Obv: English legend EMPEROR GEORGE V around, with AD date in center. Rev: Devanagari legend Bundish Ram Singh and VS date.
Good very fine, Extremely rare.
This nazarana rupee is usually found in round shape; this is the first example encountered in square. VS 1915 refers to AD 1858 when the first coins in the name of the British monarch were struck. Provenance: Ex-I.K. Kejriwal Collection
