Sikh Empire, Ranjit Singh (1799-1839 AD), silver rupee, Amritsar mint, VS 1866, '3 berry' type, G. Singh 01.33.01; Herrli 01.07.04, 10.92g. Obv: 'Nanakshahi' couplet, version V; rosette symbol between 'Guru' and 'Gobind'. Rev: 'Julus’ formula with Ber leaf symbol, 3-berry like symbol above 'takht'.
Good very fine, Very scarce.
As per G. Singh, In the years VS 1865 and VS 1866, the leaf symbol had certain variations. The most distinct among these was the tip of the leaf extended to form an inverted triangle with the base of the triangle facing 3 berry-like symbols.
