Shaybanids - silver tanka of Iskandar Bahadur Khan (1561-1583), Baldah Bukhara mint, Album 2990, counterstruck most likely by Akbar, 4.58g. Obv: Shahada in scalloped cartouche, names and titles of Rashidoons around. Rev: Iskandar Bahadur Khan in elongated cartouche, other titles and mint-name in margins; countermarked Adl Kabul in rectangle.
About extremely fine, Very rare.
The countermark does not bear a date, so it is difficult to attribute - but most counterstriking of this sort was done during Akbar's reign in and around Kabul, Kandahar and other cities in Afghanistan.
