Vishnukundin dynasty of Vengi - uninscribed alloyed copper coin (500-600 AD), unlisted in MAC or MCSI, 5.94g. Obv: roaring lion facing right with a row of symbols above - crescent moon, sun, mace (gada), conch shell and Shrivatsa symbol. Rev: conch shell between two tridents within rayed circle.
Extremely fine, Rare.
A highly unusual and previously unknown variety of Vishnukundin coinage.
