Lot No.373
AUC48
Mughals
Auction Date: 12-04-2025
Silver
Farrukhsiyar (1713-1719 AD), silver rupee, Guti/Tarpatri? mint, 'Bahr-o-Bar' couplet, AH 1126/RY 3, 11.36g.
Very fine, Possibly unique.
The partially legible mint name ends with a character resembling 'ti' or 'ye,' suggesting it could be from Guti or Tadpatri. While the 'ye’ bears some resemblance to that of Adoni, this possibility is unlikely, as Adoni was renamed Imtiazgarh during Aurangzeb's reign.
