Shroff marks, Very fine, Rare.
The mint at Chinchwad that struck 'Furshee' (battle-axe marked) rupees was run by the Dev family who were hereditary incarnates of Moraya Gosawi, a 17th century holy man and an ardent devotee of Lord Ganesha. Later the mint moved to Pune and carried on striking coins with the same mint mark.
