Archaic Silver Punch-marked coin - 4-symbol coins of the Meghna-Padma divide in Eastern Bengal (Bangladesh), struck to Karshapana standard with ABCD configuration, (c.350-330 BC), similar to those reported from the site of Bari -Wateshwar, 3.43gm. Obv: four symbols - 1. Sun, 2. Six-armed symbol, 3. Large river fish 4. Indistinct. Rev: blank.
Good Very fine, Very rare.
An example of a very rare series of Archaic coinage, traditionally attributed to 'Anga' Janapada.
