Sultans of Bengal, Silver tanka of Nasir al-Din Mahmud (1433-1459 AD), 'lion' type, Dar al-Darb mint, date not clear, G&G B477, 10.58g. Obv: Stylized lion facing right with paw raised, date in words in the margin but not visible. Rev: Arabic legend in an ornamental border - al-Muayyad ba-Tayid al-Rahman Khalifat Allah b'al-Hujjat wa al-Burhan, partly obliterated under shroff marks, followed by mint-name.
