Ancient Vatsa region, ½ unit cast coinage of Kaushambi area (c.200-150 BC), uninscribed coin of the polygonal series related to 'Radhamitra' coins, PAIC 1141, 1.31g. Obv: Lion jumping to right. Rev: Bull walking to left.
Extremely fine, Very rare.
The 'Radhamitra' type coins are unusual pentagonal issues with the largest units being inscribed. They betray a punch-marked appearance but are manufactured by casting.
