Pre-Vijayanagara period (1250-1300 AD), base gold hon from South Karnataka/West Andhra region, possibly issued by the Telugu Chodas of Nellore, similar to MCSI 283-285 (attributed wrongly to Somesvara IV Chalukya), 3.37g. Obv: Garuda walking to right. Rev: Kannada legend Danava/Murari/Bantaru in three lines.
