Sikh Empire - copper paisa, Dera (Dera Ghazi Khan) mint, VS1895, Herrli 05.10.11 (year not listed), 8.99g. Obv: Legend in Gurumukhi script Akal Sahai Gur 95 Nanak ji; leaf in centre. Rev: Legend in Gurumukhi script Jarab Dera Ghaji Khan, with VS year on top.
Extremely fine, Very rare.
So far only copper coins with the date VS1898 (Herrli 05.10.11) and VS1894 (Herlli 05.01.04 & 05.02.04) in silver are known for Dera Ghazi Khan. In Herrli's catalogue, the obverse Gurumukhi legend was not read unread and the reverse legend in Gurumukhi was only tentatively read.
