Sultans of Bijapur, Qutb Shahis of Golkonda/Adilshahis of Bijapur, unattributed gold fanam with pseudo-Arabic inscriptions, (c.1500 -1600AD), not in G&G, 0.36g.
Extremely fine, Rare.
The coin has illegible inscriptions on both sides which appear to copy Arabic legends from unknown prototype. Most likely a local issue attempting to acknowledge sovereignty of one of the Deccan sultanates.
