Post-Mauryan die-struck uninscribed coinage, Taxila series, copper unit of 'symbolic' type, PAIC 1437, 10.66g. Obv: hill of six pellets, three-arched hill with crescent and a wavy line below; two vine strands with bunches of grapes below the wavy line. Rev: blank.
Good very fine, Rare.
The bunches of grapes suggest a connection with the cult of the Greek god Dionysius, whose predilection for wine is a part of mythology associated with him.
