Early Medieval Gujarat, unattributed copper coin, (c. 7th-8th century AD), 1.14g. Obv: A fish within a circle. Rev: Brahmi legend Shri Wya(ghra?).
Good very fine, Very scarce.
The reverse legend can be tentatively read as 'Wyaghra', which could be the name of a ruler from the many small dynasties that ruled in medieval Gujarat. The design of the coin is similar to issues of the Chalukyas of South Gujarat region.
