Kushan, gold ¼ dinar of Huvishka (c.160-190 AD), MK 166, 1.97g. Obv: Diademed and crowned half-length bust of Huvishka left, on clouds holding mace-scepter in one hand and elephant goad (Ankus) in other hand, Bactrian legend around. Rev: Bizago standing right, Skando-Komaro (Kartikeya) standing left, their heads turned towards one another both with a sward suspended from their waists, Bactrian legend around.
Extremely fine, Exceedingly rare.
Skando-Kumaro (Kartikeya) son of god Shiva & Parvati, Bizago has identified with the shaivite deity Vishakha and his generally depicted along with Skando-Kumaro in the coinage of Huvishka.
