Ancient Malwa, post-Mauryan die-struck coinage, 'Ujjain' series - copper coin of 'man with staff' type, (c.200-150 BC), similar to Kothari RB89, 6.08g. Obv: Man seated cross-legged atop a lotus, wearing a hair-bun and carrying a staff; tree-in railing to the right and river symbol below. Rev:'Ujjain'-symbol with double annular orbs.
