Nawabs of Arcot - two, anonymous cash and ½ cash coins, (c.1670-1740 AD), MCSI 1003 (½ cash is unlisted), 6.85g and 3.75g respectively. Obv: Fish in circular border. Rev: Two letters in Tamil Grantha (?) script, which probably read Nwa bu/pu?. (2 coins)
Very fine, Rare.
Mitchiner reads the letters as retrograde Wa Bu but it is evident that his reading is not conclusive.
