No fractional coins of Bharuch beyond ½ rupee denomination are known. The attribution of Bharuch coins is based on RY but since that aspect is not visible on this coin, it cannot be conclusively said if it was issued under EIC authority, or after it was ceded to Gwalior at the treaty of Salbai in 1784.
