Maratha Confederacy - copper 'Shivarai' paisa in the name of Shivaji, (c.1750-1800 AD), not listed in Maheshwari & Wiggins, 8.89g. Obv: Marathi legend Shri /Raja/(Shiva) in three lines. Rev: Marathi legend Shri/Chhatra /Pati in three lines, with a sword-like symbol in the middle line.
Extremely fine, Very rare.
It is unusual to have 'Shri' added to the usual reverse legend 'Chhatra Pati'.
