Silver
Azam Shah (1707 AD), silver rupee, Junagarh mint, AH 1119/RY Ahd, KM 332.9, 11.58g, 'Ba-Daulat Wa Jah' couplet with title of Azam Shah; AH date in field on obverse and RY with mint-name on reverse.
Extremely Fine, Exceedingly Rare.
By far the rarest mint of Azam Shah's short-lived coinage is Junagarh, brought to light first by S M Shukla, the legendary Mumbai-based numismatist. This is a particularly extremely fine specimen with full mint, AH and RY details all excellently legible.
Perhaps the only known piece in private collection and possibly unique.
