Ancient Malwa, Ujjain region, post-Mauryan uninscribed die-struck copper coin, 'Gajalakshmi' type, (200-150 BC), MAC 4641, 3.55g. Obv: Lakshmi seated cross-legged in centre, flanked by two elephants standing on lotuses, which hold water-pots in their trunks and lustrate the goddess. Rev: 'Ujjain' symbol with concentric circles as orbs.
