Seringapatam, silver medal, 4th May 1977, struck in 1801, 38.12g. Obv: British lion defeating the tiger of mysore, with date of the capture of the fortress - “IV May MDCCXCIX” below. Rev: Depicts the assault on the fortress of seringapatam, 50.41mm.
Very fine, Very rare.
This silver medal was given to all officers, Captains and Bengal presidency’s soilders who took part in capturing seringapatam capital of mysore.
