Ancient South Vidarbha/Telangana, pre-Satavahana monarchical inscribed coinage characteristic of Kotalingala site, alloyed copper coin of Harivaya Siri, (150-100 BC), unpublished in major sources, 3.31g Obv: triangle-headed standard and strung bow-and-arrow; Brahmi legend …(ño) Harivaya Siri…, and a tree and a bull facing left below the legend. Rev: ornate, double-lined Nandyavarta symbol.
Extremely fine, Very rare.
Coins of Harivaya Siri are similar to those of Narana, Samagopa and Kamvaya Siri, other rulers known from coins originally found at Kotalingala and often recognized as characteristic local issues of that urban settlement.
