Yadavas of Devagiri, silver tara of Ramachandra (1275-1315 AD), 'Lion' type, 0.28g. Obv: Caparisoned lion facing right with paw raised. Rev: Retrograde Devanagari legend in two lines, Shri Rama/Deva.
Extremely fine, Rare.
It is highly unusual to find a lion looking right on coins of Ramachandra. But since the reverse legend is also retrograde it seems likely that both obverse and reverse dies were incorrectly engraved in this case.
