Archaic silver punch-marked coin, Saurashtra region, usually attributed to 'Surashtra Janapada' (350-250 BC), 'small elephant' type, 1.00g. Obv: Small elephant walking to right, square dot below; treskelis, taurines and annulets around, and traces of undertype ('open cross with Swastika' type identifiable). Rev: Usual traces of undertype ('hare in crescent' type identifiable). Not listed in Rajgor or van't Haaff.
Broad flan, Extremely fine, Very rare.
