Archaic silver punch-marked coin, middle Gangetic Valley series, (450-350 BC), Vimshatika, 4.06g. Obv: Punches of curvy lines in a triskelis format obliterated under bankers' marks. Rev: Banker' marks struck over an earlier obverse.
Very fine+, Rare.
Coins of this series have been in past attributed to various 'Janapadas' depending on subjective information available regarding their find spots. This particular specimen is highly unusual in being double struck on obverse and reverse.
