Kumaras of Karhad, Kumara Isamula (60-80 AD), lead coin in 'Junnar' lion type, 9.10g. Obv: Maned lion standing facing left; Brahmi legend Kumarasa…lasa around. Rev: Three-arched hill and tree-in-railing on a platform enclosing a wavy line. Unlisted in major publications.
Extremely fine, Very rare.
This is an extremely rare example of an early issue of Kumara Isamula from Junnar, as a co-ruler on behalf of Kshaharata Kshatrapa Nahapana, but before his defeat by the Satavahanas, after which Isamula struck more well-known coins with the title 'Mahakshatrapa'.
