Medieval Gujarat, Vaghela Dynasty, copper coin of Karna Deva (1297-1304 AD), 4.46g. Obv: Ornate Kalasha with a long spout. Rev: Nagari legend in two lines Shri Ka(rna) / Devasya.
About extremely fine, Rare.
A coin of this type was first brought to notice in 'Numismatic Panorama: Essays in Memory of late S M Shukla' (eds. K K Maheshwari and B Rath) by Dhiren Gala and Girish Veera. Since then many other Vaghela coin types have been discovered but this is only the second instance of a 'Kalasha' type coin turning up.
