Jaipur, Sawai Prithvi Singh (1768-1778 AD), nazarana gold mohur, 10.83g, Sawai Jaipur mint, in the name of Shah Alam II, AH 1188/RY 15, 'whorl' mark on reverse, ex-mount.
Very fine, Extremely rare.
Coins of RY15 show a different mint-mark than the usual 'trifoliate leaf'. From RY16 onwards, the all-familiar 'tree' or Jhar marks makes its appearance. All 'Nazarana' gold issues of Jaipur are extremely rare, but this is an even exceptional issue with a significant RY, which bears a unique mint symbol.
