Lesser Satavahanas of Banavasi, alloyed copper 'bull' type coin of Chutukulananda, (200-250 AD), unpublished type, 7.64g. Obv: Well executed bull standing facing right, swastika above, brahmi legend Raño Chutukulanandasa above. Rev: Tree in railing.
Extremely fine, Extremely rare.
This is the first time a bull-type coin of Chutukulananda is ever reported. It is most likely struck in the Chandravalli region, located to the South of Banavasi, where 'bull' type coins of local Maharathis had been in circulation.
