Satavahanas, 'elephant' type alloyed copper coin, vidarbha region, generally attributed to Siri Satakani (100-50 BC), 1.99g. Obv: Elephant walking to right with trunk upraised, 'Ujjain' symbol above its back, traces of legend above. Rev: Swastika, tree-in-railing, nandipada and traces of an elephant.
Very fine, Very scarce.
The motifs are all jumbled up because the coin is repeatedly struck on both sides by alternating devices.
