Akbar (1556-1605 AD), copper 1/8th Tanka struck to local Malwa standard, Burhanpur mint, Aban 45, 6.07g. Obv: legend Hashtum Hissa Tanka-i Akbar Shahi. Rev: legend Aban Ilahi Zarb Burhanpur 45 Jalalahu.
Very fine, Rare.
The additional word 'Jalalahu' is observed on rare fractional coppers of Akbar of mintless type and Burhanpur mint. Dr. Abhishek Chatterjee has opined that they were struck during the siege of Asirgarh which lasted from Tir 45 to Bahman 45. The month Aban is a new addition to the already months in the series.
