Archaic silver punch-marked coin, Middle Ganges Valley region, traditionally attributed to 'Kosala' Janapada, (c.400-300BC), ABBC configuration, Murphy Series II, no. II.16.1.1, 4.17g. Obv: four punches – 1 x 'Star of David' with dots between angles, 1 x four-armed whorl and 2 x elephant facing to left. Rev: minor bankers' marks, including a bow-and-arrow.
