Chalukyas/Kalachuris of Kalyani or Feudatories, anonymous punch-marked gold ½ fanam (1100-1200AD), 0.18g. Obv: two punches: 1x lion facing left and 1x Kannada letter 'Si'. Rev: plain.
Extremely fine, Very rare.
It is plausible that 'Si' here could be the initial of the ruling king in which case a likely contender could be Singhana, the last king of the Kalachuri dynasty of Kalyani who ruled in around 1185AD.
