Very fine, Very rare.
The mint-name on these coins was also read as 'Poonamallee' which is the same as Poovirundhavalli, now on the outskirts of Chennai city. However, 'Ponmalai' is a better reading and in all likelihood the rupees and dams with this mint-name were produced at a place named as such which is near Tiruchchirappalli.
