Malayaman chiefs of 'Sangam' period, uninscribed die-struck 'horse' type copper coin, Tirucoilur region (50-100 AD), MCSI 209, 4.16g. Obv: Horse standing facing right; 'bowl over altar' symbol below its head. Rev: River with fishes and a triangular 'mountain'-like symbol, supposedly representing a 'map'.
