Early medieval Rajasthan, unattributed and uninscribed copper coin most likely issued by early Rajput dynasties after the Hunnic interlude in 700-800AD, 10.81g. Obv: goddess standing holding lotus and one hand akimbo. Rev: bold lotus with eight petals.
Very fine, Rare.
Coins with similar lotus motif were recovered from early levels in excavations carried out at Nadol in Rajasthan, a site associated closely with early Rajput history. The coin is tentatively attributed to this period judging by the similarity of the motif.
