Sikh Empire, silver rupee of the Misl period, temp. Lahina Singh, Sobha Singh, and Gujjar Singh Bhangi, (Vs1822 1856/AD1765-1799), Lahore mint, dated VS1849, Herrli 08.05.04, 10.83g. Obv: Nanak Shahi couplet. Rev: mint-name in the top line, VS date in the second line; an elaborate floral sprig symbol to the left of the date, replacing the usual 'leaf’ symbol.
Very fine, Very rare.
A very rare date variety for the coinage of Lahore, and thus extremely desirable for serious collectors of Sikh coins.
