About extremely fine, Unique and historically important coin.

This is a very curious coin of 'Aurangabad' mint. The more familiar Aurangabad in the Deccan struck coins at this time with the honorific 'Khujista Bunyad' as the mint-name. It is strange that it must have reverted to 'Aurangabad' only for year. It is plausible therefore that this coin must have been struck at another place named 'Aurangabad'. There are many contenders but a place now located in the Pakistani Punjab province is a very likely candidate.
The coin also shows a curious AH/RY mismatch. It is possible that even though it i struck in the name of Muhammad Shah, the RY it bears refers to Nadir Shah dated from his accession in AH1148. This would be well explained in the context of the Punjabi Aurangabad - the Nawab of Punjab, Zakariya Khan had virtually accepted the suzerainty of Nadir Shah. He is a thus possible candidate for striking this unique coin.
