Ancient Tamil Nadu - Chera dynasty, uninscribed die-struck copper coin of the 'Sangam Age' (c.150-50BC), Krishnamurthy 85, 7.56g.Obv: symbolic configuration - wavy line to top, part of a battle axe seen to right, strung bow and arrow in centre, an elephant to its right, four small turtles above it, arched hill to bottom left. Rev: strung bow and arrow (dynastic emblem of the Cheras).
