Ancient Greece, Thrace, Hellenistic period, silver tetradrachm in the name of Alexander the Great, posthumous issue, (125 -70 BC), Odessus mint, Price 1185, 16.21g. Obv: head of beardless Heracles right wearing lion skin headdress. Rev: Zeus seated on stool-throne left, eagle on outstretched right hand, scepter in left hand, Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ on either side; Greek letters ΑΓΑ to left, monogram below the throne.
