Bhutan, silver coronation medal for King Jigme Singye Wangchuk, 1974, 49.88g. Obv: bust of king in stellate border. Rev: inscriptions in Tibetan script and English in stellate border.
Extremely fine, Rare.
The medal was instituted by Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuck to commemorate his coronation on 2nd June 1974. It was thereafter awarded as a general decoration of merit in two classes, gold and silver.
