Kushans, gold Dinar of Huvishka (150-180AD), Goebl345/346, 7.51g. Obv: nimbate bust of king, wearing conical headgear carrying two sceptres in hands, Bactrian legend visible around. Rev: nimbate Fire-God 'Pharro' standing holding a standard, with fire in extended hand; Bactrian legend PhARO to right and tamgha in left field.
Very fine, Rare.
The coin is struck from a broken obverse die which creates an illusion that the sceptre the king holds in his right hand is a rooster-headed standard. However, this has been proven not to be the case after die analysis.
