Archaic Silver-punch marked coin of the Northern Maharashtra region, Upper Tapi river system, Betul Hoard type (400-350 BC), struck to ½ Karshapana standard and ABBC symbolic configuration, 1.60g.
Extremely fine, Very rare.
Four symbols: 1x Elephant to right, 2 x large Taurines with split ended prongs, and dots at base, 1 x fish within rectangle. The fourth mark of 'fish within rectangle' is not hitherto reported on any coins of the Upper Tapi series.
