Indo-Scythians, copper coin of Azes (58-30 BC), Senior ISCH 107.95, 6.43g. Obv: king seated cross-legged, raising right hand and holding sword in left; traces of Greek legend around. Rev: Hermes standing left, raising right hand , monograms on either side; Kharoshthi legend Maharajasa Mahatasa Rajadirajasa (Ayasa).
Very fine, Rare.
On all coins of this type, the order of the titles in the Kharoshthi legend is Rajadirajasa Mahatasa. But on this coin, it is clearly reversed as Mahatasa Rajadirajasa, which is a feature Senior has not noted.
